The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) has a robust Campaign Awards Program that tracks and recognizes members' volunteer and political campaign hours.

Overview of the Volunteer Hour Program

The CCNJRW encourages members to log their volunteer hours to demonstrate the collective impact of women in the Republican Party at local, state, and national levels. These recorded hours are aggregated every six months and used for awards presented at the biennial convention.

Purpose: To honor clubs and state federations that contribute significant non-paid time to Republican candidates, the Republican Party, and the Federation itself.

Reporting System: The NFRW introduced a nationwide tracking system that allows individual members to log their hours quickly and easily online, Members can also submit hours at our monthly meetings via CCNJRW form. Members need to submit their political and campaign volunteer hours and calls. A link is available to log as you go on our website. The hours and calls are submitted by the Chair every 6 months.

Awards Recognition

The hours logged contribute to the Political & Campaign Awards, which recognize individuals, clubs, and states that accumulate the most volunteer hours and phone calls.

For more information on the specific reporting deadlines and guidelines, members can speak directly with the executive board.

This award is won in a few different ways.

1. The total of the Clubs hours and the total number of calls made by members.

2. The highest number of hours volunteered by a single member of the club.

3. The highest number of calls made by a single member of the club.

EXAMPLES OF VOLUNTEER CALLS

• Scheduling Meetings, Events, or Speakers

• Calling for General Business of the Federation (local, state or national) or other Republican causes

POLITICAL & CAMPAIGN: VOLUNTEER HOURS

When in doubt, count the hour. Include (where applicable):

• Ballot Questions or Initiatives

• Calls to Action for Issues and/or Legislative Activities

• Campaign Calls

• Polling Calls

EXAMPLES OF VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES

• All time spent at Club, Region, State, and National Federation meetings or conventions (in person or virtual)

• All campaign and political activities benefiting the Federation, the Republican Party, or Republican candidates

• Attendance at all Republican events, including Lincoln Day Dinners, even if tickets were purchased for attendance

• Running for Office (partisan or non-partisan) as a Republican Candidate

• Working on any aspect of a Republican campaign (partisan or non-partisan)

• Working on Republican ballot questions, initiatives, or petitions

• Serving as an elected member of your Local, County, State or National Party Committee

• Attending, preparing for, or volunteering at Club, Region, State, and National Federation meetings or conventions

• Serving on committees

• Attending, preparing for, or volunteering at meetings or conventions of the Local, County, State, and National Republican Party or local meetings or conventions

• Working at a Local, County, State, National Republican office

• Working at a Local, County, State, National Republican candidate or elected official’s office

• Working as a non-paid Election Officer, Poll Watcher, Challenger, or Election Integrity worker

• Organizing or teaching a Campaign Management School

• All campaign activities benefiting our Republican Party, candidates, and/or the Federation

• Time spent making Federation, Political and Campaign Calls/Texts.

• All Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Door Knocking Campaigns

• Preparing letters to the editor or elected officials

• Researching issues and legislation

• Radio, TV and social media appearances

• Posting to social media

• Voter registration

• Writing or editing a digital or hardcopy State or Club newsletter

• Attendance at rallies

• Any other political or campaign activities

Also Count:

1. Travel time to and from the activity.

2. Research and development of the activity (example: social media posts / letters to the editor) 3. Preparation and breakdown of activity Hours collected are on a best estimate basis. Round up to the closest whole hour.

The Achievement Awards are designed to enhance teamwork among members of the CCNJRW. Using the Achievement Awards spreadsheet as a guide for planning club activities will produce a well-balanced club program. It establishes standards of performance for club functions, membership development, programs, leadership development, campaign activities and community relations. This Club Award is given for "POLITICAL CAMPAIGN" time. It does NOT include time for charitable, civic, or anything other than volunteer time for Republican candidates or organizations.

Achievement Award Instructions
